Week 11 Roundup

It has been the Week of Disappearing Players; Didier Drogba, John Carew, Joe Cole, Luke Young, Kenwynne Jones, Andrea Dossena…none of them even made the bench! If you managed to get your S11 bonus then you can be very pleased. Chelsea and Liverpool didn’t miss their star players though, and both continue to set the pace at the top of the Premier League. However it was bad news for the north-east with both Sunderland and Newcastle finding themselves in the bottom three by the end of the weekend.

Three strikers who have had some troubles in the past year all came good this weekend. Robbie Keane (32.20) got his first league goals for Liverpool, Nicolas Anelka (38.70) continued his scoring streak and Louis Saha stayed fit long enough to net two goals and a hatful of points (32.24).

Team of the Week belongs to opocketwith 194.44, who picked three of the top scorers for the week (Keane, Anelka and Matt Taylor). Fort William stays top. Pop in to the forums and say hello if you have time. A top new feature is the ‘Gut Picks’ thread – share those player choices that your heart not your head is telling you to make!

Week 10 roundup

Arsenal players really are doing a lot for charity this season. First Hull and now Stoke have been given three precious points by the north London philanthropists. Meanwhile Spurs get a lucky win over former league leaders Liverpool but stay bottom while Hull give Manchester United a scare (but not a big one) in a 4-3 thriller.

Player of the week on S11 was of course Nicolas Anelka (37.43) but his team-mates Alex (31) and Frank Lampard (20.85) were not far behind and Oba Martins (22.85) looks like he is back to his best following a long injury lay-off. Bad guy of the week is Robin Van Persie (-8.2) who was sent off 11 minutes after coming on.

There’s big news at the top of the table as thanks to Van Persie Blade slips to second place and Fort William takes over at the top. Meanwhile eRock FC’s combination of Ronaldo, Lampard, Anelka and Alex gets him Team of the Week with 165 points.

On to week 11! The big question is, with Arsenal and Manchester United facing each other this weekend, will you drop players from those teams? Share your thoughts on the forums now.
